Quelle Surprise! Je Suis Boulverse! (Pas)

Today's New York Times reports that the Arab and Muslim world has been swept up in a tide of ecstatic support and adulation of Hizbullah and its leader, Hassan Nasrallah. This, per se, should come as no surprise. It does, however, minimize (if not neutralize) the importance of the few blogger/writers who oppose Hizbullah. I don't doubt their sincerity. I feel for them, and worry about their safety. They are, however, irrelevent and we'd better get used to that.

This also means that there are more forces working against us than we realize. As one columnist noted, Muslims from around the world are exploiting our open media to learn how to hurt us. He advocates increased censorship. I can't say I disagree. It's a terrible thing to have to do. However, since the enemy is using the media, the internet (including talkbacks), computer viruses and what-not to attack us we should (at least) not provide more ammunition.

Before 1967, there was an expression: שקט! האויב שומע. It needs to be reintroduced.
