The Real Obama

There is no doubt that it was really stupid to announce the building of 1600 apartments in Ramat Shlomo, while VP Biden was here. However, there is also no doubt in mu mind that the American President and his minions were looking for a reason for a drag down, duke it out with Israel. After all, Ramat Shlomo is a long-existing Hareidi neighborhood, which does not impinge upon any Arab area (though it is adjacent to Shuafat). If Biden's people had also done their homework, they would have realized that this is nothing like the situation in Silwan or Sheikh Jarrah. They didn't. They didn't because thet want to force Israel to stop all construction in its own capital; to extend the freeze in Judea and Samaria and to beat the living daylights out of Netanyahu.

Obama needs to feel his oats, and to cover up his long train of failures on every other front. He also has no sympathy or affection for Israel, for Jewish Rights and he loathes our Prime Minister. He's assisted in this by his coterie of Jewish courtiers, who are deeply afflicted with Judische selbst-hass.

By beating up on Israel, they will succeed in the folowing:

They will galvanize the Liberal Jewish Community to attack Israel. (The self-appointed authority, Thomas Friedman, started to
bang on the tom toms today.)

They will galvanize the Arabs to harden their positions and call for mass attacks on Jews in Jerusalem. (It's already started with the closing of the restored Rambam Synagogue in Cairo, and the threat of riots around the re-dedication of the Hurva Synagogue, which the Palestinian hero, Fawzi el-Qutub blew up upon the fall of the Jewish Quarter in 1948.)

They will galvanize the Europeans to spew forth even more hatred and lies.

Hopefully, they will galvanize the Israelis to back their government as the Barack Obama shows its true colors.

אין לנו על מי לסמוך אלא על אבינו שבשמים.

at the same time, i wonder how much of this is just political talk: that is, america had to say these things in order to appear fair.
but on the whole i agree with you.
