As things turned out, I find myself in North America, unable to vote on Tuesday. I'm not sure how to feel about that, given my ever deepening gloom about the prospect of a Kadima victory, with its (apparently) inevitable legacy of corruption, totalitarianism and destruction. (See Ben Chorin today.)
I'm holding on to the Rov's comment with both hands:
'When events appear absurd, it's a sign that Divine Providence is intervening in history.'
