Those Who Can, Do; Those Who Can't..

teach.' (George Bernard Shaw). Those who can't teach, become Ministers of Education (My Obiter Dicta).

Professor (sic!) Yuli Tamir, erstwhile Minister of Education and full-time Peace Now activist has instructed that the so-called Green Line be reimposed in all Israeli textbooks and thus inform our enemies that we've already decided to give in to their interim demands.

On the other hand, what can you expect from a woman who's so absurdly PC that she defends female genital mutilation (i.e. circumcision) on the grounds of multi-culturalism.

I read the article you link to.
I would not say she defends the practice of fgm, but rather uses it as a prop or foil to expose Western cognitive egocentrism.
In fact she says explicitly that she is not justifying the practice. She just questions the source of Western opposition to it.

I am not sure why you write "Professor (sic!)". She earned her academic promotions the same way that you earned your own.

I don't question her academic credentials. I am just amazed that an academic can write this stuff, or abuse her position as Minister of Education. She's the heir of Ben Zion Dinur, not Mikhail Suslov.

if you read Amnon Lord, you will see that she is indeed the heir of Suslov.

That being said, Suslov seems to be the one that pushed Gorbachev ahead, so maybe there's hope that these people will indeed let go of the reins of power without the need for fratricidal warfare - or before, as Jim Morrison once said, "the whole "s%&#house goes down".
