The Funniest Hazarah b'Teshuvah Speech Ever

Hilly Gross from Lincoln Square Synagogue has provided this wonderfully diverting (and all too true) discourse, delivered at an NJOP dinner (albeit twenty years after it was delivered. Did someone say fine wine?).

This is quite possibly one of the most hilarious -- though painfully truthful -- descriptions of the late-twentieth-century baal teshuva phenomenon that I've ever heard... and I've heard and read many.

Actually, I felt that the line about 'you practice what we preach' a bit over the top.

But it really was poignant and very humourous.
